All who have attained a basic food hygiene certificate within the last 5 years and who need to update and refresh their knowledge.
To remind course members how to work in a hygienic manner so that consumers are protected from food poisoning and the problems that result from chemical and physical contamination.
The course concludes with a 30 question multiple choice examination. Candidates who pass the examination are awarded an updated Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH).
Before an Update Certificate can be issued, the CIEH require proof that the candidate has obtained a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent issued by RIPHH, SOFHT, REHIS or RSPH) within the last 5 years.
